Letter to the Membership--Feb 2007

Welcome to all our APHA and DPHC members. We have a great season planned for the 2007 season and look forward to seeing everyone at our shows this year. Our DPHC Season Kick-off Show in Clarcona had great weather and was well attended. Lots of new faces were there. The DPHC State Fair Show in Tampa wasn’t so lucky with the weather but still proved to be a good show for all the participants.

The DPHC Dixie Spring Fling on March 9-11 at the Canterbury Equestrian Center will be offering for the first time a Bridleless Western Pleasure class. We hope to see many participants try out this class. The DPHC Youth Club is sponsoring some great activities – Egg Decorating and Flashlight Hunt; a Stall Decorating Contest; and a $5 Fun Egg and Spoon Contest. I intend to be riding my stick horse.

Remember to put our May 5^th show at the Florida State Fair Grounds and the September 15^th Show at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion in Ocala on your “must attend” list. We promising to have more fun activities planned. Bring your friends to join us.

The season will culminate with our DPHC Florida Fall Classic Futurity and Paint-O- Rama November 2-4 at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. The Show is going to be bigger and better than last year and we hope to see all of you there.
